Saint Francis Health System is looking to add a Board Certified or Board Eligible Advanced Heart Failure Physician to join our Heart and Vascular Institute located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Opportunity
- Join an established and collaborative group of 60 cardiology physicians, advanced practitioners, clinical coordinators looking for a dynamic advanced Heart Failure partner to contribute to the continued growth and development of our comprehensive advanced heart disease, recovery and replacement program across the health system.
- Advanced Heart Failure Program embedded within 160-bed Heart and Vascular institute located on the main campus of 1, 112 -bed Level I Trauma Center.
- 3.0 million population catchment area in eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas
- 2023-2024 U.S. News and World Report named the Saint Francis Heart & Vascular Institute a High Performing Hospital in Heart Failure, Heart Attack, & Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair
- Robust cardiogenic shock program with interdisciplinary leadership and expertise and dedicated inpatient MCS with critical care expertise.
- 2,000 heart failure hospitalizations/year in the system.
- State of the art multimodality imaging including CT, CMRI and PET in addition to endomyocardial biopsy and invasive CPET and state of the art invasive hemodynamic program.
- Comprehensive HF program focused on granular profiling and longitudinal hemodynamics with services including implantable PA monitor, remote monitoring, cardiac contractility modulator, baroreceptor activation therapy.
- Clinical research opportunities including registry and clinical trials.
- Potential leadership opportunities available as expansion of heart failure services including VAD, remote monitoring, device therapy and the vision to reopen the transplant program with a future advanced heart failure fellowship program.
- Current teaching and academic opportunities via an affiliation with Oklahoma State College of Osteopathic Medicine and OU-TU School of Community Medicine including cardiology fellow presence in clinical rotations.

Preferred Skills:
- Management of the entire spectrum of heart failure including advanced outpatient and inpatient disease, cardiogenic shock, durable LVAD and heart transplantation
- Fellowship trained and board eligible/certified in advanced heart failure & transplant cardiology.
