California locums Colon & Rectal Surgery coverage with a mix of inpatient and outpatient work, offering block-style scheduling and strong APP support for OR and clinic.

Highlights

Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient Colon & Rectal Surgery coverage
• Clinic includes cancer and non-cancer visits
• Coverage need driven by staffing gap while permanent recruitment is underway

Schedule

• Looking for a 7 days on / 7 days off block model
• On-call responsibilities occur during your block and coincide with OR/clinic days
• Call expectation: trauma surgeon calls approximately 3-5 per week

Cases and Procedures

• Colon & Rectal Surgery cases with preference for minimally invasive approach
• Laparoscopic experience preferred
• Robotic experience preferred

Support Staff

• 1 full-time NP on site
• 1 locums PA assisting with surgery and robotics
• Clinic support includes post-op and non-cancer consult coverage 2 days per week
• 3 MAs

Requirements

• MD/DO
• California license required (not able to wait for licensure)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years)
• Colon & Rectal Surgery fellowship/board pathway
