The Inventory Control Tech I will manage specific medical supply inventory levels throughout the Fred Hutch clinic, and its community sites.
This is a full-time position with the working hours of Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:30 pm PT.
Responsibilities
- Uses an automated inventory control and par leveling system for the ordering, stocking/restocking of medical supplies under the scope of the supply chain management.
- Restocks supplies daily and rotates inventory supporting accurate inventory levels, generating requisitions as needed.
- Distributes medical supplies to patient care areas, while monitoring par levels for specific products to assure that appropriate levels are established in order not to affect patient care.
- Identifies opportunities through the manipulation of par levels, address slow moving inventory by removing product or increasing par levels to meet departmental demand
- Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly stock locations and labeling of products.
- Acts as liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management as needed.
- Works with and follows instructions of the GMP Specialist in the event of recalls to pull relevant products.
- Perform monthly Expired Lot audit.
- Communicate inventory shortages to Stores Lead or Purchasing.
- Trains new workers in area operations.
- Provide vacation and sick call coverage for Inventory Techs.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Degree, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year supply chain related experience or other relevant experience.
- Knowledge of computerized or automated systems operations .
- Knowledge of record keeping practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Basic math skills and knowledge of units of measure.
- Knowledge of safety practice.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and objects > 50 lbs. using proper technique.
- Must be able to push/pull cart with 400 lbs. load.
Preferred:
- Pharmacy Assistance License
The hourly pay range for this position is from $20.76 to $30.13 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
This position is not eligible for H1-B sponsorship at this time.
