Locums APP - No Call-New York

An immediate need for a locum tenens Nurse Practitioner in New York, offering a highly sought-after Monday-Friday schedule

Practice Setting

• Outpatient Medical Setting focusing on preventative health and primary care
• Work alongside an on-site MD and dedicated support staff of RNs and MAs
• Typical patient volume is manageable at 12-15 patients per day
• Patient ages 2 and up, with the population primarily comprised of adults

Schedule

• Monday-Friday daytime shift-based schedule
• Guaranteed 7.5 daily clinical hours with a protected 30 minute lunch break
• This is an Interim Assignment that can extend beyond the initial 90-day contract

Procedures and Cases

• Perform physical examinations and preventative health measures
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify patient problems
• Prescribe medications or recommend treatments like physical or inhalation therapy
• Refers patients to the Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources

Requirements

• Minimum three years of clinical experience as an NP or PA

Credentialing Requirements

• Fast-Track Credentialing in only 7 days with a TB test and full drug screen1
• Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for medical providers is required
