We are seeking a dedicated Surgical APP to support our high-volume neurosurgical practice. This role offers a balanced mix of responsibilities, including first assisting in the operating room, patient rounds, and clinic duties. As part of a cohesive team comprising three surgeons, clinical APPs, inpatient APPs, and surgical APPs, you will play a pivotal role in patient care and surgical support. This specific role would be working with one surgeon and two surgical APPs, with a primary spine focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first assist in neurosurgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct patient rounds in the ICU and inpatient units, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage a diverse clinic schedule, including new consults, established follow ups, pre and post-operative follow ups.
- Participate in on-call rotations, covering nights and weekends, with associated compensation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
