Opportunity Information

Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Vascular and Endovascular Surgery team in San Francisco, California. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside Dr. Hernan A. Bazan, a nationally recognized vascular surgeon specializing in peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, and minimally invasive endovascular procedures.

About the Opportunity:

As part of a leading vascular surgery program, you'll support patients across the continuum of care - including outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and procedural assistance. The role offers a balanced mix of outpatient (approximately 70%) and inpatient (30%) responsibilities, providing a comprehensive experience in vascular and endovascular surgical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including new and follow-up visits

• Assist Dr. Hernan Bazan with vascular and endovascular procedures, including pre-operative preparation and post-operative care

• Conduct telehealth consultations using the Epic platform

• Assist with triage of referrals and manage department inbox communications

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care

• Order and interpret diagnostic studies in alignment with physician treatment plans

• Educate patients and families on vascular conditions and treatment options

• Support clinical quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program

Licensure & Certifications:

• Current California PA license

• DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (CSRC)

• Current BLS certification

• Additional certifications as required by department

Experience:

• Prior experience in vascular, surgical, or critical care settings preferred

• New graduates with a strong interest in vascular surgery and procedural care are encouraged to apply
