Join coastal San Diego’s premier destination for advanced vein care. We are expanding and seeking a motivated physician with a growth mindset to join our team for a full-time role.
Experience in superficial venous interventions is required, specifically endovenous ablation and ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy is preferred. Knowledge of other vein procedures such as venaseal, varithena, and mechanochemical ablation is helpful but training can be provided. Candidates will be considered from a variety of backgrounds with vascular training such as IR, vascular surgery, venous and lymphatic medicine, interventional cardiology, etc.

Description:
The physician will be responsible for traveling between two nearby locations within North County San Diego. Key duties include performing new patient consultations and a range of superficial vein procedures, such as endovenous ablation (RFA and laser), perforator treatments, and ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy. The role also involves interpreting venous duplex ultrasound studies for both reflux and DVT.
Diagnose and treat venous diseases, including varicose veins, spider veins, and chronic venous insufficiency.
Perform minimally invasive procedures such as a range of superficial vein procedures, such as endovenous ablation (RFA and laser), perforator treatments, and ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy.
Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on preventative care.
The role also involves interpreting venous duplex ultrasound studies for both reflux and DVT for patients that are seen at the consultation.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with medical and legal standards.
Participate in continuous education and training to stay current on advancements in venous care.
In addition, the physician will oversee a nurse practitioner who will assist with consultations, office visits, and overall workflow to support the primary vein physician.

Requirements
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree with board certification/eligibility in Vascular Surgery, Interventional Radiology, or a related specialty.
Valid state medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
Specialized training or experience in venous disease treatment required
Proficiency in minimally invasive techniques for vein care.
Ultrasound interpretation credentials or ability to get one within one year, such as RPVI, or RPhS.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care.
