Description
Overview:
The MUSC Department of Radiation Oncology has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider. We are looking for a dynamic individual to add to our growing Oncology practice. The successful candidate should be of high integrity, flexible, collaborative, self-motivated, detail oriented, efficient, and patient-centered. The Advanced Practice Provider will work in close collaboration with a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of radiation oncologists, nurses, radiation therapists, physicists, dosimetrist, administrators, and residents to deliver top quality patient centered care for adult and pediatric patients. The Advanced Practice Provider will work with physicians to evaluate and manage new patients, those undergoing treatment, in follow up after completion of treatment, and share on-call responsibilities. It is anticipated that four to four and half days will be spent providing clinical care at radiation oncology clinics in Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and future other community centers in the Charleston area. Half to a full day may be allotted for administrative time. The majority of clinical service will be provided in the outpatient setting, and there will be some potential for providing inpatient consultation services. Clinical duties will be divided between independent survivorship clinics (primarily patients with breast and prostate cancers, but other types of patients as well) and shared clinics with a supervisor provider. Rigorous onboarding, orientation, and training will be provided. The selected candidate will be proposed for appointment to the full-time faculty as a clinical instructor. Academic funds are available.
