The Nurse Practitioner provides advanced clinical care and medical management within Student Health Services through independent and collaborative practice under the oversight of a Medical Director and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies. The position is responsible for patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, prescribing authority, preventive care, health education, immunization compliance, emergency intervention, referral coordination, documentation, and quality clinical outcomes in an outpatient college health setting.
Requirements
Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the North Carolina Joint Subcommittee of the Board of Nursing and Board of Medical Examiners, and “approved to practice medical acts” by the Joint Subcommittee.
