Description
Venous Ablation Physician
Danbury, Connecticut | Clinical Practice Development and Potential Partnership
Position Overview
We are seeking a physician to join the development of a new ultrasound screening and venous ablation practice in Danbury, Connecticut.
This is an opportunity for a physician interested in minimally invasive vascular procedures to work alongside two experienced professionals in diagnostic ultrasound, vascular imaging, radiology, and medical education.
The practice is being developed by Kae Nussbaumer, founder of the Center for Ultrasound Research and Education (CURE) and the Academy of Diagnostic and Osteopathic Medicine (ADOM), in collaboration with Scott Springer, DO, a board-certified radiologist with extensive experience in vascular ultrasound and diagnostic imaging.
Our objective is to establish a practice that integrates comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound evaluations with minimally invasive, ultrasound-guided treatment of venous disease.
Our Clinical Leadership
Scott Springer, DO | Radiology and Vascular Imaging
Dr. Springer is a board-certified radiologist with more than 23 years of experience in vascular ultrasound, Doppler imaging, and diagnostic radiology.
His clinical background includes upper and lower extremity arterial and venous imaging, vascular Doppler screening, procedural and postprocedural imaging, and imaging of the aorta, renal arteries, thyroid, and other anatomical systems.
Dr. Springer earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995. He completed diagnostic radiology residency training and a fellowship in pediatric radiology.
His experience in vascular imaging, ultrasound interpretation, and medical education provides an important clinical foundation for the development of the practice.
Kae Nussbaumer, BS, RDMS, RVT | Ultrasound Education and Clinical Development
Kae Nussbaumer brings more than 30 years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound, vascular technology, healthcare education, and research.
In 1999, she founded the Gulf Coast Institute of Vascular Ultrasound, an institution dedicated to specialized ultrasound education. She subsequently founded the Center for Ultrasound Research and Education (CURE) and the Academy of Diagnostic and Osteopathic Medicine (ADOM).
Her professional background includes ultrasound leadership at Massachusetts General Hospital, faculty teaching at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine, and recognition as a Harvard Medical School Global Healthcare Leader.
Her work focuses on expanding the clinical applications of diagnostic ultrasound and advancing ultrasound education through the integration of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and vascular hemodynamics.
