Company Overview
CAMcare Health Corporation is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to delivering comprehensive, high-quality, and accessible primary healthcare services to medically underserved populations in Camden and Gloucester Counties. In accordance with Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act, CAMcare provides care to all individuals regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, utilizing a sliding fee discount program consistent with HRSA requirements.
CAMcare operates under an approved HRSA Scope of Project and provides integrated, patient-centered services that include primary medical care, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, dental services, care management, and enabling services designed to address barriers to care and social determinants of health. Our care delivery model emphasizes preventive services, chronic disease management, continuity of care, and coordination across disciplines to improve health outcomes across the lifespan.
As an FQHC, CAMcare is committed to quality improvement, performance measurement, and compliance with HRSA Program Requirements, including clinical quality measures, Uniform Data System (UDS) reporting, credentialing and privileging, risk management, and FTCA coverage. CAMcare maintains a strong focus on evidence-based practice, patient safety, and culturally and linguistically appropriate services (CLAS).
CAMcare is governed by a community-based Board of Directors and operates within a collaborative, team-based care model that supports clinicians through interdisciplinary coordination, standardized clinical protocols, and ongoing professional development. Our workforce plays a critical role in advancing CAMcare’s mission to reduce health disparities, promote health equity, and improve access to care for the communities we serve.
Company History
Founded in 1978, CAMcare Health Corporation was established to address critical gaps in access to healthcare for medically underserved communities in Camden County. What began as a small community-based health initiative has grown into a comprehensive, multi-site Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving thousands of patients annually across Camden and Gloucester Counties.
Over more than four decades, CAMcare has expanded its scope of services in alignment with HRSA Section 330 requirements, evolving to meet the changing healthcare needs of the communities it serves. CAMcare now provides a broad range of integrated services, including primary medical care, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, dental services, care coordination, and enabling services, all delivered through a patient-centered medical home model.
Throughout its history, CAMcare has remained steadfast in its mission to provide accessible, high-quality healthcare regardless of a patient’s ability to pay, utilizing a sliding fee discount program and emphasizing preventive care, chronic disease management, and health equity.
