Description

Our client is an established hedge fund seeking an Associate to support a Portfolio Manager responsible for external allocations across a multi-strategy hedge fund-of-funds portfolio. The key responsibility will be to support the evaluation and ongoing monitoring of external hedge fund managers across both fundamental and quantitative approaches, including equity long/short, global macro and systematic/quantitative investing.

Responsibilities

1. Support the sourcing, screening and evaluation of external hedge fund managers across fundamental and quantitative strategies.
2. Conduct qualitative and quantitative investment due diligence (IDD), including analysis of investment process, team, track record, portfolio construction, risk exposures, and fund terms.

Candidate Profile

1. At least 3 years of experience as an Investment Analyst or Investment Risk Analyst gained within investment management, a hedge fund or an investment consultancy.
2. Experience in hedge fund manager research, investment due diligence, portfolio analytics, performance/risk analysis, quantitative research or systematic investing is highly relevant.
3. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret investment, performance and risk data.
4. Familiarity with hedge fund strategies such as equity long/short, global macro, systematic/quantitative or multi-strategy investing is advantageous.
5. Fluency in English and Chinese.
