Description
The opportunity
Greater Boston allergy practice is seeking a board-certified allergist/immunologist to join their practice and grow into leadership of the practice as she prepares for retirement. This is a chance to step into an established Boston allergy practice with a nationally recognized food oral immunotherapy (OIT) program already built in.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in general allergy and asthma care and genuine interest in food allergy desensitization through OIT and sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT). Prior OIT or SLIT experience is a plus but not required: the lead physician will personally train you in her protocols for these life-changing treatments. Throughout the transition, she will work side by side with you, introducing you to patients, families, staff, and referring physicians.
About the practice
The practice treats the full spectrum of allergy and asthma conditions and provides a food allergy desensitization center serving patients across Boston and greater New England. It has treated over 3,000 desensitization patients, with a success rate above 85%. Most families no longer fear accidental exposure in the school lunchroom or while traveling.
