Department of Emergency Medicine
The Department of Emergency Medicine at Advocate Christ Medical Center (ACMC) is seeking outstanding physicians to join our faculty. Located in Oak Lawn, Illinois, we provide care to the vibrant and diverse communities of the south side of Chicago. Our institution is a tertiary care center and Level I Trauma Center, with an emphasis on advanced cardiac and stroke care. ACMC supports both LVAD and transplant programs. Our high acuity emergency department cares for more than 119,500 patients annually, including 35,600 pediatric patients in our dedicated pediatric emergency department.
Applicants must be board eligible or board certified in Emergency Medicine and dedicated to education and clinical excellence. Advanced education, including but not limited to Fellowship training, is preferred but not required. Our three-year emergency medicine program matches 14 residents annually, and fosters an environment of camaraderie, support, well-being, and service. Many faculty members and residents live in downtown Chicago and enjoy all that this world-class city has to offer.
Compensation and benefits are highly competitive. Academic appointments are available for qualified applicants through the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Interested applicants should electronically submit a letter of interest along with their curriculum vitae to the department Chair: Michael.Kennedy3@advocatehealth.org.
