Description
Locum Tenens Family Medicine | Rural Community Health | Southern California
Impactful Primary Care in an Underserved Community - No Call, No Weekends
Are you a clinician who thrives in mission-driven environments? We are seeking a flexible, patient-centered Family Medicine Physician to join a dedicated team in a rural Southern California community. This role is ideal for providers who enjoy clinical autonomy and the opportunity to provide "bread and butter" primary care to a vulnerable, appreciative patient population.
The Opportunity
- Mission-Driven Care: Provide high-quality, faith-based healthcare to an underserved population.
- Predictable Work-Life Balance: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Strictly no call, no nights, and no weekends.
- Stable Volume: Average 18-20 patients per day in a fully supported outpatient setting (NPs, MAs, and dedicated office staff).
- Modern Tools: Practice with Epic EMR (full training provided during a 2-day paid orientation).
Practice Profile
- Clinical Focus: Traditional Primary Care/Preventive Medicine. No procedures required.
- Patient Base: All ages. We are looking for a provider comfortable with a diverse "cradle-to-grave" patient population.
- The Environment: This is a rural, desert-climate location in Southern California. It is a perfect fit for a physician who enjoys a sunny, warm environment and the quiet pace of a smaller community.
Requirements
- Board Status: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency). New Grads are encouraged to apply!
- Licensure: Active California Medical License and DEA.
- References: Must be able to provide 3 peer references from within the last 2 years (Medstaff requirement).
- Clinical Mindset: We are looking for "clinic-first" providers who enjoy the flow of a busy outpatient office rather than an academic or research-heavy setting.
- Credentials: Clean malpractice history is preferred for expedited 60-90 day credentialing.
Logistics & Benefits
- Orientation: Comprehensive 2-day paid orientation to ensure you are comfortable with the facility and EMR.
- Flexibility: 3-month initial commitment preferred, but we will consider candidates with 1-week-per-month availability.
- Support: Competitive hourly rate with travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided.
Why This Role?
This isn't just a "fill-in" shift; it's a chance to be the backbone of a community that truly needs you. If you are a flexible, adaptable physician who enjoys the rewarding nature of community health, we want to talk to you.
