Locums Cardiology Physician in Fort Smith, Arkansas - Block Scheduling, Inpatient Only

Work a 7-on, 7-off inpatient cardiology schedule with APP support and a broad mix of non-invasive and diagnostic cardiology care.

Highlights

• 7-on, 7-off block scheduling
• Inpatient-only cardiology
• Two to three APPs provide coverage support
• No resident or APP supervision required

Practice & Cases

• Adult inpatient cardiology hospitalist coverage
• Non-invasive cardiology including echocardiography, TEE, nuclear cardiology, and STEMI care
• Diagnostic procedures may include cardiac catheterization, PA catheter placement, IABP placement, and heart biopsy
• Approximately 20 patients seen and five admissions while on call

Schedule

• Seven days on followed by seven days off
• 24-hour in-house call coverage
• 15-minute response requirement
• Approximately 10 phone consults while on call

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology
• Active Arkansas medical license required
• ACLS required
