NEPHROLOGY PHYSICIAN - Dialysis Center
Salary Range: $275,000 - $300,000 Annually
You’ll be more than a clinician—you’ll teach, lead, and make a difference in a diverse community
You’ll play an active role in the Dialysis Center and the Division of Nephrology, providing care across faculty practice, ambulatory programs, dialysis centers, and hospital inpatient areas. Along with caring for patients, you’ll contribute to clinical and academic initiatives, quality assurance, patient safety, and risk management. Teaching and mentoring medical students and residents will be an important part of your work, as you will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality, patient-centered care for the diverse community you serve.
What will you do:
- Provide direct nephrology care to inpatients and outpatients, including consultations and follow-up care
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Dialysis Center, including staffing, scheduling, coverage, documentation, and compliance
- Help develop and update clinical protocols and guidelines that support consistent, high-quality nephrology care
- Collaborate with the Medical Director on physician recruitment and retention, helping build a strong Nephrology team
- Perform inpatient consultations and participate in scheduled call coverage based on the needs of the Division
- Contribute to research, scholarship, and departmental initiatives, including participation in meetings and committees
- Ensure timely clinical documentation and billing, supporting accurate records and appropriate reimbursement for services provided
What you’ll bring:
- M.D. or D.O. with completed residency and fellowship training in Nephrology and at least 2 years of clinical experience
- Board certification in Nephrology and current New York State physician license
- Experience in cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) and cardiac rehabilitation
- Valid DEA registration and eligibility for Medical Staff appointment
- Current BCLS and ACLS certification
- Strong clinical and medical knowledge, with an understanding of quality improvement, patient safety, and systems-based practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, patient-centered approach, and the initiative to identify opportunities and improve care
