Description
ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER — PA-C OR NP
Interventional Pain Management & Minimally Invasive Spine
Genesis Wellness and Pain | Wichita Falls, Texas | Full-Time | In Person
This is not a refill-and-rooming job. You will carry your own consult panel with physician support, review your own imaging, build evidence-based treatment plans, and develop a procedural pipeline. No interventional pain experience is required — we will train the right candidate.
Genesis Wellness and Pain is an established interventional pain and orthopedic spine group with physician partners, an in-house APP and CRNA team, and clinical service lines running across roughly ten hospital partner sites in North Texas.
COMPENSATION
$140,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
Uncapped production incentive tied to clinical productivity
Providers who build a full panel have a clear path to $300,000+ in total annual compensation
The production formula and payout tiers are walked through in detail during the interview process
SCHEDULE & TRAVEL
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
No nights, no weekends, no hospital call, no overnight travel
Approximately 1–2 days per week at partner facilities within 55 miles of Wichita Falls; day trips only
Car allowance provided
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Comprehensive new-patient consultations for spine and chronic pain conditions
Detailed musculoskeletal and neurologic examinations
Independent review of MRI, CT, and X-ray imaging correlated with the clinical presentation
Stepwise, evidence-based interventional treatment plans
Follow-up and progression through procedural pathways
Documentation to payer-specific medical-necessity criteria
Chronic opioid management runs through a defined practice protocol and is not the center of this role
INTERVENTIONAL CASE DEVELOPMENT
You will identify, work up, and optimize candidates for:
Spinal cord stimulation (trials and permanent implants)
Basivertebral nerve ablation
Kyphoplasty and vertebral augmentation
Minimally invasive SI joint fusion
Medial branch blocks and radiofrequency ablation
Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections
SI joint injections
Peripheral nerve interventions and stimulation
Minimally invasive lumbar decompression
You will sequence diagnostic blocks appropriately and prepare clean, audit-ready cases. This is exposure most APP positions never offer.
OUTREACH & REFERRAL DEVELOPMENT
Specialty spine and pain clinics at partner hospitals
Procedural follow-up care
Clinical liaison work with primary care, chiropractic, physical therapy, neurology, and other specialties
Practice leadership owns the facility relationships and contracts; you will be an integral part of establishing evidence-based, exceptional spine and pain care across every site we serve
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Active Texas PA-C or NP license, or eligibility for Texas licensure
Helpful but not required:
Interventional pain or orthopedic spine experience
Complex chronic pain management
Independent spine imaging review
Working knowledge of procedural sequencing and payer medical-necessity requirements
What matters most is work ethic, organization, curiosity, coachability, and willingness to take ownership.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE PAIN BACKGROUND YET
We mean it. Clinicians from orthopedics, neurosurgery, primary care, emergency medicine, physical medicine, and related specialties — and strong new graduates — are encouraged to apply. Onboarding is structured alongside physician partners:
Direct instruction in imaging correlation and spine MRI review
Procedural algorithms and diagnostic-block sequencing
Documentation and medical-necessity standards taught rather than assumed
Graduated autonomy as competence builds
You will have direct access to physician partners for case review and will work under the applicable prescriptive authority/delegation arrangement with the Medical Director.
BENEFITS
Health, dental, and vision insurance
Paid time off
CME paid by the practice
Car allowance for outreach travel
Malpractice insurance paid by the practice
Retirement plan, professional dues and licensure reimbursement, and any sign-on or relocation assistance are discussed as applicable
