- Ophthalmologists. Comprehensive & Subspecialty. Physician-Owned. Capital Region, NY
Description
Live in Saratoga Springs. Build Your Career Across New York's Capital Region.
EyesNY is an independent, physician-owned ophthalmology group seeking comprehensive/cataract surgeons and fellowship-trained ophthalmologists to join our growing practice across New York's Capital Region.
We have established patient demand, strong referral relationships and immediate clinical and surgical volume. For a comprehensive/cataract surgeon, the opportunity includes succession to the established practice of a retiring physician, providing meaningful patient and surgical volume from the outset.
We offer $325,000–$450,000 guaranteed base compensation plus uncapped productivity compensation, sign-on and relocation assistance, and a pathway to long-term physician ownership.
Our surgeons operate at The New York Eye Surgical Center, the Capital Region's only U.S. News & World Report 2026 High Performing Ambulatory Surgery Center for Ophthalmology.
Immediate Patient and Surgical Volume
EyesNY is recruiting both for continued growth and physician succession.
A comprehensive/cataract surgeon can step into the established patient base and surgical demand of a retiring physician rather than spending years building a practice from scratch. Fellowship-trained ophthalmologists likewise benefit from an established regional referral network and significant existing demand.
We are interested in:
Comprehensive / Cataract
Retina
Glaucoma
Cornea / Anterior Segment
Oculoplastics
Neuro-Ophthalmology
Other ophthalmic subspecialties
Both experienced physicians and physicians completing residency or fellowship are encouraged to apply.
Physician-Owned and Independent
EyesNY is independent and physician-owned.
Physicians who build their careers with us have a pathway toward practice ownership, with additional potential opportunities for ASC ownership and participation in healthcare real estate.
Clinical decisions remain physician-led. Our goal is to give physicians the resources and scale of a substantial regional ophthalmology organization while preserving the autonomy and long-term opportunity of independent practice.
An Exceptional Surgical Environment
Our surgeons operate at New York Eye Surgical Center, a dedicated ophthalmic ASC recognized by U.S. News & World Report as High Performing in Ophthalmology for 2026—the only ambulatory surgery center in the Capital Region to receive this designation.
Physicians are supported by experienced ophthalmic technicians, clinical staff, advanced diagnostic technology and dedicated surgical teams, providing the infrastructure to develop an efficient, high-volume clinical and surgical practice.
Live in Saratoga. Practice Where It Makes Sense for You.
EyesNY has a regional footprint extending from Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs through Clifton Park, Latham and Troy.
Rather than requiring every physician to fit into a single office model, we can structure a clinical footprint around specialty, existing patient demand and preferred geography.
Physicians can make Saratoga Springs or another Capital Region community home while developing a practice within a substantial regional patient and referral base.

Why the Capital Region
Saratoga Springs and New York's Capital Region offer an unusual combination of professional opportunity and quality of life.
The region combines excellent schools, restaurants and cultural amenities with immediate access to the Adirondacks and year-round outdoor recreation. Albany and the surrounding communities provide a metropolitan population of more than one million and a substantial regional healthcare market, while New York City, Boston and Montreal are accessible for weekend travel.
For an ophthalmologist who wants immediate clinical opportunity, surgical volume, physician autonomy and the ability to build ownership over time, EyesNY offers an alternative to both starting over in a small practice and spending a career as an employed physician.
