Orthopaedic Advanced Practice Provider - SurgicalDartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center - Lebanon, NH
Dartmouth Health’s Department of Orthopaedics is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner) to work at our academic medical center in Lebanon, NH. You will play a key role in delivering comprehensive musculoskeletal care, with a primary focus on sports medicine. In this collaborative environment, you’ll work alongside physicians, APPs, residents, and clinical support staff to manage both acute and chronic orthopedic conditions. This role offers a unique blend of operative and non-operative responsibilities, providing opportunities to evaluate patients in clinic, perform procedures, and assist in surgeries, while supporting coordinated, patient-centered care across the full spectrum of orthopedic services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care, including patient evaluation, imaging, treatment planning, and documentation.
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Manage patient communications, including calls, prescription refills, results, and urgent triage.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as injections, aspirations, splinting, casting, bracing, minor outpatient procedures, and wound care.
- Assist attending physicians with operative care and surgical management.
- Maintain clinical volumes aligned with departmental needs, which may include outreach at our satellite locations.
- Participate in peer-to-peer reviews for insurance coverage and support administrative requirements.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities, including mentoring APPs, students, and peers.
- Cover day call on a rotational basis.

Requirements:
- BLS certification
- Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a PA or APRN in NH
- Successful completion of an approved PA/APRN program
- National specialty certification as RNFA or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
