Job Description:
Inova Alexandria hospital PACU is seeking an experienced RN for a full-time PACU fellowship position. This Fellowship will start in August and is designed to transition experienced nurses to the PACU specialty.

Inova's Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2. This is Full Time (3x12 or 4x10 hour shifts) to cover hours including 6.00a-11.30p with on call night, weekend, and holiday requirements.

This Fellowship will start in August and is designed to transition experienced nurses to the PACU specialty.

The OR is equipped with 11 surgical suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, General Surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, podiatry, and maxillofacial.

RN Fellow PACU Qualifications:

• One year of acute care nursing experience is required;
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire

RN Fellow PACU Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 or more years nursing experience to include med/surg tele or IMCU experience
