Description
Vitreoretinal Surgeon, Associate Position (Brooklyn, NY)
Clarity Eye Care, P.C. | Physician-owned solo retina practice | Brooklyn, NY
The Practice
Clarity Eye Care is a high-volume vitreoretinal practice in south Brooklyn, built from the ground up over five years into one of the busier independent retina practices in the borough. We see 50+patients per physician and average over ten cases a day.
The practice is physician-owned. No private equity, no management company, and physician and patient-driven in terms of care and practice decisions.
The Pathology
Our area in Brooklyn offers heavy pathology. The referral base is a dense, high-acuity population with a disease burden that most practices never see including advanced proliferative diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and the full spectrum of exudative AMD and RVO. An associate here will see as much diverse and exciting pathology as they would like to see.
The Role
There is already demand for a full medical retina clinic with immediate, independent panel building surgical volume from day one, and OR block time. Full in-office procedural scope: anti-VEGF, laser (PRP, focal, YAG), in-office imaging (OCT, OCT-A, widefield FA, Optos), all physician and patient directed.
Independent clinical decision-making and referring-doctor relationships. Evenly shared call.
Compensation
Base salary of $300,000+, guaranteed, and a production bonus of 30% of net professional collections above a defined threshold, calculated transparently and reviewed with you.
Malpractice, licensure, DEA, AAO/ASRS dues, and CME allowance covered
Health premium contribution and retirement plan, relocation and signing bonus negotiable.
We will show you the actual collections data behind the bonus formula during the interview process. You should expect that from any practice you are considering, and you should be skeptical of one that will not.
Growth Path
This is built as a long-term seat, with a defined partnership track and joint ventures
