We are expanding our Internal Medicine service and seeking two Internists who are excited about collaboration, advanced medicine, and helping shape the future of a rapidly growing specialty hospital.
You'll practice alongside specialists in Emergency & Critical Care, Cardiology, and Surgery, while also benefiting from collaboration with specialists throughout the Red Bank Veterinary Hospitals network, including Tinton Falls and Mount Laurel. Whether you're interested in full-time, part-time, or a highly flexible schedule, we'll work with you to create an opportunity that aligns with your personal and professional goals.
Our beautiful, state-of-the-art facility was intentionally designed to support both clinicians and patients, featuring a highly functional layout, centralized doctor command center, 16-slice CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, telemetry, advanced surgical suites, and a well-established Internal Medicine service ready to welcome a new colleague. • The anticipated starting base salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $200,000 to $230,000 per year.
In your day-to-day, you will:
• Manage complex internal medicine cases spanning gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, infectious disease, endocrine, hematologic, and respiratory conditions.
• Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic procedures including ultrasound, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, CT, and other specialty imaging modalities to guide patient care.
• Collaborate closely with Emergency & Critical Care, Cardiology, Surgery, and other specialty services to provide comprehensive management of shared patients and referrals.
• Coordinate seamless patient care transitions, consultations, and case transfers across specialty and emergency teams.
• Build trusted relationships with referring veterinarians through collaborative case management, timely communication, and expert consultation.
• Guide pet owners through complex medical conditions with empathy, clarity, and confidence, helping them make informed decisions for their pets.
• Mentor and support technicians and assistants as part of daily case management, fostering a collaborative and high-performing clinical team.
• Pursue opportunities to expand your expertise in advanced ultrasound techniques, interventional radiology procedures, and electrochemotherapy (ECT) training.
• Participate in rounds, continuing education, and collaborative learning opportunities that support both personal and hospital-wide clinical growth.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive culture focused on exceptional patient care, teamwork, professional development, and employee well-being.
What You Bring
• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification in Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) or Residency Trained in Small Animal Internal Medicine.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine.
