Job DescriptionInternal Medicine Specialist (DACVIM or Board-Eligible)
Internal Medicine opportunity in Waukesha, Wisconsin
Schedule: Full-Time
Why Join Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center (WVRC)
At Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center (WVRC), you'll do more than practice exceptional medicine, you'll join a thriving, highly collaborative specialty hospital that has been purpose-built to support advanced case management, professional growth, and clinical excellence.
We're seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Internist to join our established Internal Medicine team at an exciting time in our hospital's history. In September 2025, WVRC moved into a brand-new facility designed to support the highest level of specialty and emergency care. You'll have access to advanced diagnostic capabilities, including a 128-slice GE CT scanner, 1.5T Siemens MRI, GE 9900 fluoroscopy unit, an additional GE Logiq ultrasound system, and an expanded I-131 treatment ward, providing the tools and resources needed to manage even the most complex internal medicine cases.
This is not an opportunity to build a service from the ground up. You'll be joining a well-established, multi-specialty team that includes Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Critical Care, Surgery, Anesthesiology, Ophthalmology, Rehabilitation, and Emergency Medicine, all working together under one roof. The collaborative nature of our hospital creates a dynamic environment where specialists routinely consult with one another to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
WVRC also supports active internship programs, emergency doctor development, and surgical training programs, fostering an intellectually engaging atmosphere that encourages mentorship, learning, and continued professional growth. Whether you're passionate about teaching, collaboration, or advancing specialty medicine, you'll find a team invested in helping one another succeed.
As part of Ethos Veterinary Health, you'll have access to a nationwide network of specialists, continuing education opportunities, mentorship resources, and professional development support designed to help you thrive throughout your career.
